The Seine axis breaks traffic records in 2025

Strong growth in volumes

HAROPA PORT posted exceptional results for 2025, with 84.7 million tonnes of goods handled, up 2%. Container traffic reached a historic high of 3.2 million TEUs, up 4% compared to 2024.

Solid bulk cargo experienced strong growth with 12.92 million tonnes transported (+10%), driven in particular by the grain sector, which reached 7.36 million tonnes. The 2025/2026 grain season recorded its second-best start in a decade.

Modal shift exceeds 20%

Multimodality is establishing itself as a major lever on the Seine axis. The modal shift has exceeded the 20% mark, in line with the port's strategic objectives. Rail container transport from Le Havre jumped 18% with 145,000 TEUs transported by train, thanks to the launch of new connections to Tours and the strengthening of services to Valenton, Vierzon and Clermont-Ferrand.

Opportunities for transport operators

These performances are based on structural investments and illustrate the dynamism of the Seine axis for transport and logistics professionals. River transport is stabilising after several record years, while new partnerships are developing to support the transition to more sustainable modes of transport.
